Par for the course is 72. From the back tees the course plays to 6,964 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 5,698 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 2, a par-5 that plays to 548 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 17, a par-3 that plays to 161 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 2, the 548 yard par-5 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 8, a 206 yard par-3.
Tee times are available through their reservation system after the purchase of a Monmouth County Resident ID card or a Non-Resident Reservation ID card.

The course is always in good condition. There is no food and not enough water coolers. It could use a few more bathrooms.

I played Howell Park Golf Course last week. This was my first time playing this county course.
I have played Hominy, Shark River and Charlestown and this ranks right near the top. Maybe Hominy and Charleston are slightly better.
But Howell Park is certainly a nice course and a great value. $20 after 2 pm.
